Step 1: Check Availability and Secure Your Date

Start by contacting the Santa Barbara County Clerk’s Office to check the availability of the Mural Room for your desired wedding date. Due to the popularity of this picturesque venue, it’s advisable to inquire and make reservations well in advance. You can contact the County Clerk’s Office by phone or visit their website for more information. The application and contact information can be found here. All information was current at the time of this blog post, but may change at any time. Keep an eye on the website for any changes!

In preparation for submitting your application, gather any required documents. This typically includes a valid photo ID, as well as any additional paperwork specified by the County Clerk’s Office. Having these documents ready in advance will help streamline the process. This page has a running list of FAQ and other relevant information to help you know what documents to bring. Step 4: Submit the Application and Pay the Fee

Submit your completed application and any required documents to the County Clerk’s Office. Along with the application, you will need to pay the permit fee, which covers the reservation of the Mural Room, set-up, and coordination with courthouse staff. As of my last knowledge in November 2023 2022, the fee is approximately $700. This includes your non-refundable application fee as well as a facility use fee. However, it’s crucial to check with the County Clerk’s Office for the most current information.
