Joshua Tree Elopement

Joshua Tree National Park Elopement Session

This elopement session completely has my heart. From the stunning dress to the neutral toned florals this session was quite literally a dream come true. Joshua Tree National Park is a stunning elopement location due to the variety of scenery and landscapes that are sure to make your images stand out.

We took advantage of a beautiful sunny day in early February for this session. We started the session on this amazing boulder formation to play with different levels and posing options. Although the area was tight, we were still able to include movement based prompts to give the candid and emotive moments that I love so much!

Then we headed to the open space just below the boulders to take advantage of the Joshua trees and the stunning landscapes.

What to expect when planning a Joshua Tree Elopement

  • A special use permit is required for weddings within Joshua Tree National Park. Information can be found here.
  • To preserve the park, there is a list of items that are not permitted within the park during your wedding or elopement. This list can be be found at the link above as well.
  • Getting a permit is relatively easy, but can take some time. Make sure to begin the process early to ensure all elements are completed in time for your event.
  • At the time of this blog, there is a $500 fee for those who do not secure the proper permits prior to hosting a wedding or elopement within the park.
