If you have been following for a while, welcome back! I am so excited to share one of my favorite Los Angeles Engagement session locations with you.
Arlington Gardens in Pasadena, California
Los Angeles offers many different backdrops and settings for your engagement session. As your photographer, I share options that offer various backdrops within your location to increase the variety of images within your gallery. A favorite location of mine happens to be Arlington Gardens located in Pasadena, California.
From the multiple gardens hosting different types of foliage, wishing trees, to the ability to use this location with more formal and casual outfits, this location is one of my favorite places to take my Los Angeles couples! For authentic and candid poses we utilized the benches and smaller gardens to create a cozy and intimate feel. I am obsessed with how the greenery frames the image and makes it look like they are in the middle of a fairy tale!
If you have followed me for a while, you know that I always include an activity or “interactive” portion to your session. This could look like a prop, a favorite snack or drink, or in this case participating in Arlington Garden’s wishing trees.
We started by allowing the couple to take a minute to write wishes or intentions for their relationship and upcoming Southern California wedding. Once they were done writing, we added the wishes to the trees.
I cannot get enough of these images that show the authentic connection between this couple! We laughed as we added our notes to the tree and took time to read others that were left previously.
Not only did this activity give a variety in poses and images, but it gave a nice break to the green backdrop with the stunning colors of the tree leaves.
We ended this session at the orange grove at the back of the gardens. I cannot believe the variety in images we were able to capture using this one location!
