Brandi is a cake artist! She bakes cakes for all occasions, but her wedding designs are absolutely amazing! She owns a fantastic cake bakery in Tennessee called The Icing Bowl, and I’ve worked alongside her at several events!
This blog post features two vendor spotlight photoshoots for Brandi and The Icing Bowl. One happened at The Manor at Shae Jo, and the other at Rural Hill Farm, both gorgeous locations to consider for any event.
The Manor at Shae Jo is a breathtaking estate with expansive grounds and a luxurious manor house. With many jaw-dropping architectural elements and beautiful gardens, this venue was just perfect to show off Brandi and her skills!
Rural Hill Farm is just a few minutes outside of Nashville, and features over 150 aces of gorgeous scenery. I’ve done a few other photoshoots here, and they all turned out amazing! It didn’t take much to turn this venue into an amazing set for Brandi’s photos.
As a photographer, I believe that the wedding cake matters almost as much as the bride’s dress! That’s because it’s such a prominent visual detail. Sometimes, it’s overlooked, but it’s something that will either add or take away from your reception photos.
Brandi’s work really stands out as one of the best! Her attention to detail and artistic flair add so much to every wedding or event, and her cakes are a great example of what I look for. The colors, textures, and appearance of the cake really elevate a couple’s theme at both weddings and elopements.

She caters the flavors to her client’s preferences, but also offers unique flavors like cookies and cream and strawberry champagne, while still being a master of traditional flavors like vanilla and chocolate.
